Medications

We are happy to help your child take necessary medications at school. The following school policies must be followed for medications:

Elementary Schools

  1. All medications must be brought in the original container. Many pharmacies will make up a second bottle of prescription medications if you need one for school.

  2. Prescription medications – one parent and the prescribing physician must sign and complete the Medication Consent Form. The form is available below or in printed copies at each school’s office.

  3. Over-the-counter medications – one parent must complete and sign the Medication Consent Form. The form is available below or in printed copies at each school’s office.

  4. All medications must be kept in the school office except for inhalers. Students may carry inhalers; however, the Medication Consent Form must be signed and completed by one parent and the prescribing physician.

Wisconsin Heights Middle School and High School

  1. All medications must be brought in the original container. Many pharmacies will make up a second bottle of prescription medications if you need one for school.

  2. All medications must be kept in the school office except for inhalers, epinephrine auto-injectors (EpiPen, Auvi-Q, etc.) and over-the-counter medications.

  3. Prescription medications – one parent and the prescribing physician must sign and complete the Medication Consent Form. The form is available below or in printed copies at each school’s office.

  4. Over-the-counter medications:

  • Self-carry and administer – one parent and a physician must sign and complete the Medication Consent Form.

  • Kept in the office – one parent must complete and sign the Medication Consent Form. The form is available below or in printed copies at each school’s office.
