Introduction

Hello! I have worked in the Wisconsin Heights School District since 2018. I have enjoyed getting to know this special community and all it has to offer for families in the school district. While I am not teaching, I enjoy yoga, relaxing, going on adventures with my small son, cuddling our dog and cat, and being with my family.

Previous Experience

I received a BA in history and education from Beloit College in 2012 and a Masters in Education from Edgewood College in 2019. Before entering education in 2018, I worked in autism treatment with individuals on the spectrum from ages 2-22. Throughout that experience, I managed applied behavior analysis treatment for individuals receiving in-home treatment, assisted in parent coaching and teaching social skills classes, collaborated with community and schools regarding autism treatment, and I provided one-on-one treatment. However, my love for education brought me back to a school setting.

My Classroom

My classroom is nestled in-between the Kindergarten and 1st Grade classrooms. My classroom is a space for students to relax when needed, use a private bathroom when needed, and for teaching small groups.

Teaching Style

I believe that students thrive with the following:

-Building trusting relationships

-Calm/organized environments with established routines

-Collaboration between special education and general education teachers as well as collaboration with parents/guardians.
