Introduction

Hello! I am Alexis Hauser. After spending first semester of the 2023-24 school year as the 6th Grade Language Arts intern, I was fortunate enough to be hired to finish the school year in that position. When I am not teaching Language Arts, I can be found bopping around campus subbing for teachers or helping out as I can.

When I am not teaching, I love to read, explore Wisconsin with my dog, Lady, and find crafty things to do.

My Classroom

I value positive relationships with my students, and that comes through every class period you spend in my room. I will often have music playing as class starts, and engaging opportunities like our Monday Moment and talking piece Cocoa bring a community feel to the 6th grade.

Teaching Style

My teaching style replicates my personality. I enjoy finding engaging ways to teach that encourage movement and critical thinking. Preferably, I spend as much time as possible encouraging my students to do the talking and the learning. Scaffolding the learning with a gradual release model ensures my students are confident in their skills as they attempt new challenges.
