Volunteer Opportunities
Do you know a high school student who’s interested in the outdoors, is passionate about conservation, and wants to gain first-hand volunteer experience? Then they should join Dane County’s Youth Volunteers for Conservation! Hosted by the Lussier Family Heritage Center and Dane County Parks, Youth Volunteers for Conservation (YV4C) is an outdoor volunteer service program for high school students. Starting in September 2021 and through May 2022, one Saturday-a-month participating students will work together on an environmental service project at one of our Dane County Parks. This is an excellent opportunity to meet environmentally-minded students from all over Dane County, make a real impact caring for wild habitats, and build your college resume. Join as a Conservation Volunteer or take your leadership a step further by applying to become a member of our YV4C Leadership Council! Check out this flyer for more information on the program (or to print and post). Online registration is open now! Visit the YV4C website and register early to secure your spot. All program activities will take place at Dane County Parks.
