Referendum 2024

The Wisconsin Heights School District is expecting a shortfall for the next school year and is asking the community to approve a $3,200,000 Operational Referendum for the next four years. This referendum replaces the $2,200,000 referendum expiring at the end of the 2023-24 year. A successful Operational Referendum will allow Wisconsin Heights School District to continue providing excellent educational programming to meet the needs of our students.

School Districts go to referendum to raise more than their caps set by the state, which were created in the early 1990s amid concerns over rapidly rising property taxes. This is not uncommon. The vast majority of districts - over 80% - have turned to a referendum at one point or another in the past three decades.

Interim District Administrator, Craig Gerlach, will be holding in-person Community Sessions in February and March to discuss and answer any questions.  There will be one Zoom session offered in February.
