Mrs. Schmitt’s 7th grade students recently put their creativity to the test by writing their own children’s books, each inspired by lessons from the Asian folktales they’ve been studying. These young authors didn’t stop there—they shared their stories with a very special audience: Mrs. Fuchs’s 1st grade class!
We’re so proud of our 7th graders for bringing meaningful messages to life and sharing them with our littlest learners!

A geologist came in to talk to the second grade on Monday (4/14)! These second graders learned about different types of geologists, saw some cool equipment, and saw lots of samples of rocks/fossils. The kiddos loved asking Ms. Kamy questions and it was so cool to see them recognize things they learned in class!
Learning is fun!

As part of the Space Science unit, the students research rockets, build homemade rockets from scratch, calculate how high they will go, and launch. Extra credit if they catch it upon return. 😂 Of course, we're kidding!

The Wisconsin Heights Optimists Quality Students of the Third Quarter are 8th grader Griffin Crowe, son of Megan and Isaiah Crowe and 10th grader Macy Stampfli, daughter of Shawn and Brett Stampfli.
Chosen by their teachers, the students were accompanied to the Optimist Club meeting at The Old Feed Mill, Mazomanie, Friday, March 14 by their moms; MacKenzie Deese, their math teacher; and elementary school principal, Sarah Kman.
Griffin is the epitome of optimism. He has a positive impact on everyone around him. He is kind, helpful, and inclusive, a natural leader. A good student, he takes on challenges, digging deep into material and engaging others around him.
Macy also has a positive, optimistic impact throughout the school and in the classroom. She is helpful to her classmates and teachers, always willing to lend a helping hand. A diligent student, Macy sets high standards for herself. And she meets these standards.
The Wisconsin Heights Optimists are proud to honor these enthusiastic and inspiring young people.
