Personal Finance students are ready for tax season! They learned how to complete a 1040 and Schedule 1 Form for taxes and learned how to get a refund and what it looks like to owe taxes.

Mrs. Stenner's 4K class made and played with snow play dough.
They also made some snowman pictures while practicing spelling their names. Wow - some of those snowmen are 7 snowballs tall!⛄️

The 4th and 5th grade classes took a walking field trip to the Tech Ed 👷🧑💻 rooms where Mr. Hopper and some of his students showed off the variety of projects and classes that students can take when they get into high school!
The #VanguardPride elementary students and teachers were impressed with the garden sheds created by the HS construction 🛠️ class, the 3D printers 🖥️ with designs made by students in the CADD class and the bean bag boards made in the manufacturing class.

#VanguardPride Middle and High School students participated in a rollerblading gym class on Thursday. It looked like a roller rink in there!





Mr. Marx's #VanguardPride biotech class worked with Dr. Jon Roll, a UW-Madison professor of Bacteriology and his assistant, April, a Phd candidate, on a biotech lab where they isolated plasmids to make Ecoli bacteria glow in the dark. In a separate lab, students genetically altered yeast cells that they took for the FACS classes and the end result of the lab - yeast glowing in the dark.




The winners of the fire safety week contest arrived at school by fire truck on Thursday, December 8, 2022.
A huge shoutout to the Mazomanie and Black Earth volunteer fire departments for safely transporting the #VanguardPride winners.

Due to inclement weather, Wisconsin Heights School District will be CLOSED on Friday, December 9, 2022.
All buildings will be closed. No virtual learning. No after-school activities.

Mrs. Stenner's students are getting their wish granted today!
The #VanguardPride students made these beautiful snow covered trees to make their wish. They dipped bubble wrap into white paint for the trees. Glitter was also used to add some sparkle!

Jessie is from Dogs on Call, a local group that does training and evaluations for the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program.
She visited a few #VanguardPride classrooms on Thursday afternoon. It goes without saying that she was loved.
