The girls basketball program is excited to announce that they had a cumulative first semester GPA of 3.68! 👏 We are proud of the 15 student athletes and 4 managers who excelled in the classroom while working hard on the court. The WHHS Child Development students have the opportunity to work with our kindergarteners during their math block! It's so rewarding to see these young learners engaging with one another and making learning fun. The high schoolers are really stepping into their roles as mentors, helping the kindergarteners build their math skills in creative ways. #VanguardPride

Reminder to Wisconsin Heights resident families with kids ages 2-5! Our Child Find Development Fair is coming up quickly and we still have a few appointments available for screenings. With assistance of local educators and school specialists, children will be screened to assess their overall development, including motor, social, self-help, communication, and learning skills. We are encouraging all guardians of children ages 2 - 5 years-old to participate in a screening process as part of our Child Find activities. Spring Sport Registration is OPEN! We have a new registration site that allows you to register for Spring Sports and Activities all in one place. High School Softball Open Gyms will start this Sunday, February 2nd from 9-10:30 am. These will happen every Sunday until the season starts on March 17. The open gyms are not mandatory, and anyone interested in playing High School Softball is welcome to attend. #VanguardPride

Congratulations to our next Vanguard Spotlight Award recipient, Alyssa Hingeveld! Ms. Hingeveld was presented with her certificate and gift card at the January 27, 2025, Board of Education meeting. Ms. Hingeveld received two nominations - one from Che Arbizu and the other from Megan Hufton, both parents of students Ms. Hingeveld had in her class! Che and Megan spoke at the board meeting to share why they nominated Ms. Hingeveld. The nominations were truly moving and tears were in many eyes. Here are some excerpts from the nominations: "You won’t find a more dedicated and loyal teacher than Miss H.... She was constantly coming up with creative solutions for the boys and finding new activities that would be engaging to them and their unique interests.......... once Alyssa is your teacher for a few years, she’s on your team for life. " "We are so lucky to have Alyssa here at Wisconsin Heights. She is truly one in a million and I am forever grateful to have had her on our team and for the lasting impact she has had on our family." "There is a very high bar that’s been set with having her as his first teacher watching her .....customize a student plan for him to maximize his education in life skills have been awesome." "We are truly blessed to have her as an advocate and as his friend."
