7th grade math did a cups challenge to build community! Using only a rubber band and string, the students were challenged to move 10 cups into different formations. As students completed different formations, they were given more difficult challenges, but they actually got faster at the challenges because they worked as a collaborative team and communicated with each other!
Nice job #VanguardPride 7th graders!

Wisconsin Heights Elementary is holding an Open House on Friday, September 15, 2023, 5:30pm - 6:30pm!
Come on out and stay for the #VanguardPride Homecoming Football Game!

7th grade math played Back to School Jenga to get to know each other.
Each Jenga block had a color on it that corresponded to a question about the students. As students pulled out blocks and increased the size of the towers, they had to answer questions about themselves.
At the end of class, the students were quizzed on their classmates with a game of guess who where Mrs. Meinholz read interesting facts about each student, and the class had to guess who she was describing!
What a great #VanguardPride way to get to know each other!

Happy Homecoming Week Wisconsin Heights!
As we celebrate our current students, and those who came before, we invite our community to participate in these events! Go Vanguards!

Tuesday, September 5 – First Day of School!
As you can imagine, the first day is filled with excitement, nerves, and everything in between. It is also a day of getting back into a school routine.
This is a new year for Go Riteway drivers, too. Please be patient as they get familiar with the routes. Some buses may run late the first week or so. The safety of the students is the #1 goal and at this time of year, that may mean running a little slower than normal. They do a terrific job of transporting our students so let’s show them support!
Please review bus information with your student before the first day of school. If you have any questions regarding bus routes, please contact GO Riteway at 608-401-1070.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding.

#VanguardPride staff members gathered on Monday for the 2023-2024 Welcome Back Inservice Day!
Interim District Administrator, Craig Gerlach, started the morning by introducing himself and setting the stage for a positive year! School Board President, Barb Statz, joined us and shared a message of support and appreciation.
We celebrated new staff and changes to existing staff, milestones, received an update on instructional goals, and had a fantastic guest speaker, Tom Thibodeau, Professor of Servant Leadership, Viterbo University.
Such a motivating start to a great school year!
