This morning, #VanguardPride students at Wisconsin Heights Elementary school met with folks from Justice for a Cure and officers from the Dane County Sherriff's Office. As part of the World Cancer Day Ribbon/Card Project, kids throughout the school colored cancer ribbons to give to those who are currently battling cancer. The kids handed the ribbons to each police officer and got to talk to our visitors from JFAC. The kids had fun making the ribbons, and we're honored to be able to brighten up the day of cancer fighters in our area! 🎗

Students were able to discuss what caused the bread to mold, how mold spores are created and spread, as well as conditions which caused the lab to take much longer than expected. 6th graders discussed how preservatives and temperature play a part in the speed in which bread molds. #Vanguard Pride 6th Graders continue to develop their ability working on the CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning) strategy.
